Description: Launched in 1947, in monochrome only, the Polaroid process offered a relatively quick means of capturing memorable moments or artistic compositions. At the click of a button, a fully formed photograph emerged directly from the camera. By 1963, Polacolour offered 'instant' colour photographs and was adopted by artists such as Linda McCartney, Andy Warhol, Daidō Moriyama and Helen Chadwick. Find out more about the diverse collection of polaroids in the V&A collection and discover some of the highlights in this film.
